From 16 to 23 November 2019, the 6th China International Circus Festival was held at the Hengqin Chimelong Theatre, bringing together 24 top troupes from 22 countries. The performances showcased 19 types of circus skills—including springboard, high wire, and flying trapeze—delivering world-class acts, with a record number of gold and silver award-winning programmes in the festival’s history.

A major highlight of this edition was its first-ever collaboration with the world-renowned Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival. This partnership not only brought an unprecedentedly strong line-up, but also welcomed 14 distinguished guests from the global circus community, including the President of the Monte-Carlo Circus Festival. It marked a new level of China–foreign circus exchange and underscored China’s cultural influence in the global circus arena.
